A Blessed Life: 12 Month Update

So this post is way over due. Elodie has been one for two weeks and I haven't recorded what she's been up to this month. We are definitely leaving the world of being a baby behind and entering toddlerhood. When we went to the doctor last week these were her stats:

Weight: 20 lbs 13 ounces (50th percentile)

Head: 17.75 (50th percentile)

Length: 29 inches (50th percentile)

The one area where she is not average is her shoe size. We went to Toy Fair with NuNu Saturday to get our first real shoes. There was only one shoe in the entire store that would fit over her chubby feet. She wears a 4.5 double extra wide! She takes after her Daddy!

New things for us are no more formula or baby food. She eats strictly grown-up food and milk. She loves to eat and whenever she sees food or sees us eat she starts saying NaNaNaNa. She loves yogurt and any vegetables. She's not loving the texture of most fruit but I'm still working on it with her. She's mastered the sippy cup and drinks water all the time. We still giver her a bottle with milk in it because she doesn't like her milk in a sippy cup. So we will have to phase out the bottles.

Here are some things she has been doing lately:

She claps and does patty cake all by herself. She likes to grab her dolls hands and clap them together.
She loves the song Old McDonald and she sings the part e-i-e-i-o.
She still only says Momma when she cries.
She loves being outside all the time and go on wagon rides.
she has begun to dance when she hears music
She's learned that if she puts a cup close to her mouth it makes an echo and she loves it.
She hides behind doors and then pops out to play peek-a-boo.
She still adores Huntley and loves to snuggle with him.
She sleeps all night still but now she rolls around the bed all night and sleeps with her bum in the air alot!
And our biggest accomplishment is...........

SHE CAN WALK!

She been scaling along furniture for a while and taking a few steps here and there but Wednesday she began walking constantly and she hasn't stopped yet. So now I must keep a much closer eye on her because she is now mobile.
